The United Kingdom Syndrome

He catches a glimpse of doubt
She tries to hide her grief under a mask
Le them share the moment's thrill
Moving up to something clearer
Still untouched by the lights

Kept aside for times like these
Now she sruns through the garden
While the stars deflect their sparks
A hush is made and he follows her up
Somewhere warmer than the past
Soon they get there swift as hares
Wondering if there is anyone
 who cares

Holding hands next to the fall
"Let's fly up and never come back"
But things will always follow its own course
As the night is fading out
Swallowed up by the skies, in the distance
a whish that got scarried away
Makes its way into his mind
"I will follow you until I die"

The Dawn burst into a thousand shades
A feeling of regret leaving their minds
Like a bubble swirling in the wind
They both share a look and take a step
Blind and sure, they share a look
With a cry the air receives them as they jump

Yet the fall is long enough so
They swear to meet again
As their bodies get close, their souls embrace the whim
Of never being able to let go
but still knowing there
's a flame to guide them home
Let's hope they get there before fear kills them both.
