(No) Strings Attached

(No) Strings Attached

I finally made my way out this maze
Through its veiled paths I wandered, summer days
Staggering wonders I couldn't have known
For I were to stay up tied tight to a rope
Remain tuned up to the brain-psyche waves
Don't forget to bury your hate
Cause it will eat up everything you stand for
Let's endure the bumps a little bit more
I can't say I won't drink all the wine
Though I promise you the sips will taste fine
Oh, believe it or not I ran out of time

Cling to the keepsakes we stole
Dess full of songs filld up with holes
You won't find the proper hand
The one that taes out your strands
Come over my place
We'll choke in champaign
We'll fade out again

I lay on the courtyard while swallowing dust
A waterfall lifts weight up so fast
You know, falling apart isn't that bad
Let the children go astray
Follow the suit of your wayward cliché
Tonight clocks and walls are just as they may
Sell out shares of grief, the price isn't steep
Bargain and gamble my love; and your pride
I'll let you inside this cozy cave of mine

Hold on to the keepsaes we stole
Trunks full of pictures (that) we've yet to know
I wish you'd find the source of it all
Be careful, don't stumble when facing the fall
Come over here dear
We'll cut out french landscapes
The frame will be ours

For I used to be tied tight to the pole
Long ago I broke it all up.
