Cold-Weather Insurance

Powerless rides on top a broken horse
Still stuck with grief right behind the gates
No moral standings will save us from the sudden fall
so please tell me no more what to love and loathe

Across the void, erasing tracks of time
I try to roam but my limbs are sore
growing old tired of crumbling people's core
Is it all right if I want to grab mine?

Even if these words are just lies
stay alert when the odds deceive you
skip the warning signs hanging from the wall
run away 'til the buzzing dies
overpowered by mellow beats

Roll your dice and beat your luck up
before she finds out we cheated everywhere
but hold on hope, the sky drips oaths;
drenching clothes, flesh, bones and soul

Leaned upon this see-through landmark
never thought the whole view was just gone
Now the doors seems to be wide open
"Knock, Knock - Hey!"
and moonsoon floods the floors

I play dead while foam breaks on and on
tidal waves swirling mad
twisting fates
tangling glances
tousled looks.

Wolf me down before this build explodes
Back again where we both started
taming life so eager and naive
Tied and bound to glimmering poles
In this carroussel, called life;
Forlorn.
